Reflection on the last five weeks in Adelaide

I felt terrible in this five weeks, because I grew a black “Tumor” in my hand the doctor told me it looks like a “Cancer”, therefore I needed operation with surgical doctor in week three, however I can not go back to school for up to two or three days after my operation, when I came back to school I can not use my hand too much. The follow weeks I had a headache and a cold and I felt pain in my wound, this is some side effect after my operation.

First Blogs

My name is Warren WONG. My preferred name is Warrren too, I come from Hong Kong. This is my first Blogs, I am studying at GEAP 3 class. In this Blogs I would like to write about my family. My family there are three people in my family. My father John, is near 50 year old. He is him own business. My mum, Susan is 45 year old, she is an house-wife. I did not have brother and sister. All my nanna was past the live. When I finish studying I want to be an Engineer, because I enjoy working with computer. I have no pets, because in Hong Kong the house is small. On yesterday was Chinese festivals is Called "Moon Festivals" I thought there have party in Adelaide, because I wanted to working every Tuesday, I can not come to the party.

First Blog

This is my first Blog after the break on 20 August 2007 on the break time I discussed with Erica for my study and IELTS. I talked to her I want to change my class to GEAP 1, but she said no way to doing backward way. Because I felt the process in my class was very slow and I let Zorka knew but I don't thought she will change her style, but Erica told me let her know and request her change her teach style to both happy, if her not change her teach style learn much thing I can learn from the class, and if I want to change the class I must doing very hard work and I can going to GEAP 3.

The Driver of Life

From 16 July 2007 unit 05 October 2007 from Monday to Friday, I watching one Hong Kong TV Program The program called "The Driver of Life". This program talk about Hong Kong return to China 10 years time. The class style very slow :->

From the first weeks unit this weeks usually I felt the class style was very slow， for example： she always take the very long time to teach just one topic and the some topic I learn before with Anna's I did not mean the review is not good for me， this is very good for me。 I mean is the class process was very slow she always gave to many exercise from one topic， I remember on last Friday I had grammar extension class the teacher just has two hours， but the teacher can teach about two topic and gave everybody enough exercise for each topic. I hear very interesting sound from her, she always say make absence for the student, this is no1 sentence in the class I heard. And after the break in my class had students can going to PEP course, I don't know way they can going to studying PEP? If they have IELTS score at 5.0 why they choose study at GEAP 2 first. If they don't have 5.0 at IELTS how they can study at PEP after the break.

Reader's Digest

Starting from last week I have started to read the Australia’s Reader's Digest. In these magazines I learn a lot more new words and I can see the writer’s writing style. If there are some words I do not understand I check them in my own dictionary if I still can not understood I can ask my lovely teacher Anna what the word or sentence means.

Heart of Greed

In last two month from Monday to Friday, I watched one Hong Kong TV Program The program called Heart of Greed. On 12 to 13 Weekend

Last weekend (On Saturday 12 May 2007) I did not do anything special, I went to China Tower to ate my lunch and drank a coffer, but (on Sunday 13 May 2007), when I am get up I need to work's because that day was Mother's Day. I worked unit very later. By the reason (on Monday 14 May 2007) I am coming late at the University. But usually I having about five minutes late.

Warts

About three month ago my fingers grow warts on right and left hand side, but after three month at my fingers still has warts, I feel very hard to choose between going to see the doctor or going to school? Because the doctor only every two week's on Thursday afternoon can got the dry ice to remove my warts.

Weekend

Last weekend (on 05 May, 2007) I did not do anything special, but I tried to fix my computer by myself, before I think this as software problem, I tried to re-instal the Windows, but the problem was still there, taht way I use up to four hr to check the circuit, but I still could not fix the problem. For this reason I took my computer to the computer shop and pay money to fix it.

What is my study this week's :->

This is my first Blog, during the holiday, because I think I missed the last week’s Blog time. The reason last week was that I had an appointment with Doctor. This week I did not have anything special to do I have normal school days. From this week’s lecture I learned homophones words I think this is very interesting and very hard for me because the pronunciation is same as the words, very hard to hear the difference. For example “Right” “Write”, and “Meet” “Meat” etc.

This is my thirdly Blog. But this one just for my private Blog, Usually the Blog doing with my classmate. Today is last first five weeks finished of GEAP 2 course, in today morining I had Extension Class the IELTS due the class the lecturer talk about the argumentative essay write style, I thought that is very hopefully information, because I remember when the first time I got the test I don't know what is the style of essay, I learned Zig Zag Style before but that one is very hard to write a short essay and short time too. After today I have one weeks holday I thinking I will going the University of Adelaide Library to find some books for the IELTS, I got the idea with books I can borrow due the first time I saw the course Coordinator "Lynda Beagle" she give me some idea how to choose the IELTS Test books.

This is my secound Blog. Between first Blog and this Blog, I found a part time job in Adelaide at Henley Beach. The Restaurant called Red Rock Noodle Bar. I worked four days last weeks, because I have time and I want to earn some money too. Thank You!
